Man as the Hands of God

how do you measure the value of a man’s life? By what he does for himself or by what he does for God?

God is sovereign in His reign and He has a plan as to how the specifics of our lives should unfold. Gradually and consistently, God’s plans begin to play out in a sequence of events using series of people along our life’s pathway.

Psalm 17:14, “From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.”

God has given the earth to man, but He rules through them. Yet man has his will and power of choice over the matters that affect him. Men are the hands of God, and their actions and decisions go a long way in affecting the rest of the world.

All men are important to the overall plan of God and every man is limited only by the plans of God. Hence, if determined, you can achieve the expected end of God for your life if He does not resist you. No man is indispensable, but if we do not flow with God’s plans, he raises others to fill our place.

Certainly man is made to make God’s plan work. The value of a man’s life is not measured by what he does for himself, but by what he does for God in God’s plan. Every life is affected by so many others; hence you should align your work with His plans.

God had a plan for you before you were even born. (Galatians 1:15)  As believers, we can follow God’s plan for us by believing that He has everything in control and His sovereignty will guide us exactly where He wants us to go.

There are so many ways and places where we can reach out as God’s hands. If God impresses compassion on you for someone else, then let the Holy Spirit guide you to help that person, whether it is praying, guiding, feeding, clothing them or preaching the good news.

Any time that you see a need and you have the resources to provide, then answer the call. There are so many places that all of us can serve. As we read in Romans 8:28, Christians can rest in the fact that God is sovereign over everything that happens in this life.

He directs events, He directs us to people and He puts people in our paths, and essentially He enables us to be in the right place at the right time. Proverbs 21:1, “The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the LORD; He turns it wherever He wishes.”

A sickness free life

There is a revelation in Romans 8:11 that God used to liberate me from the grip of sickness. The drug that was given to me during the time of my sickness has the tendency to go to the wrong places, leaving the places with problems, and it will go on to the places without problems.

There is always the tendency for us to get distracted in life. Our eyes will go off course when we are distracted and we lose focus. The Christian life is a walk with Jesus as our focus but the cares of this life and deceitfulness of riches makes us take our eyes off Jesus. We
