Acquaint Yourself With God – Day 1

Prayer time set apart to be alone with God provides a platform for a personal knowledge of God which gives you the ample opportunity to acquaint yourself with God.

Exhortation

The phrase Acquaint yourself with God means:

  • To make a deliberate effort to know God by first-hand experience
  • To know Him personally, perfectly or intimately. This will demand your own active participation.
  • To meet Him on your own by a first-hand experience!
  • A relational experience rather than transactional. It means a decision to relate with God on a personal level.
  • It means to draw near to God in your soul.

In prayer, you draw near to God in an attempt to acquaint yourself with Him. In drawing near, you do so with your heart and not just your mouth or by a physical location. In prayer, God looks at the heart and responds only to a heart that draws near to Him in sincerity.

Prayer time set apart to be alone with God provides a platform for a personal knowledge of God which gives you the ample opportunity to acquaint yourself with God.

In your time with God today, be encouraged to make it your utmost desire to know Him intimately. This you will do by asking Him to reveal Himself to you personally and by seeking a personal knowledge of God.

The prayer on your lips will be…

Lord, show me your way that I may know you intimately and be personally acquainted with You.

Do this with all sincerity.

Ex 33:13: Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight:

PRAYER: That i may know the Lord

Make the prayer below in your understanding and then proceed to pray in other tongues:

Heavenly Father, I approach Your presence with a request
That You will reveal Yourself to me in reality
Lord, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way
That I may know You that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with You
I seek You with all my heart, Lord; come out of hiding and reveal Yourself to me
I want to know You personally and more intimately
I desire to have a perfect knowledge of God
I come into Your presence to receive the law that will guide my life from Your mouth
Lord, speak to me face to face as You would speak unto a friend
Open my eyes that I may see You; open my ears that I may hear You
That I may behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple
My soul says to You Lord, Your face is all I seek
I do not seek the gifts but I seek the giver
I want to know You by experience
As I continue in prayer, Holy Spirit, come and reveal the Father to me
That I may meet with God and commune with Him in the place of prayer In Jesus name

VERSE OF THE DAY:

Ex 33:12-13 And Moses said unto the Lord, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight. Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

A sickness free life

There is a revelation in Romans 8:11 that God used to liberate me from the grip of sickness. The drug that was given to me during the time of my sickness has the tendency to go to the wrong places, leaving the places with problems, and it will go on to the places without problems.
