Be Spiritually Minded

You can have peace and tranquillity in the midst of the storm. Many Christians are not enjoying or manifesting the peace of God. Many are distressed even though they are praying. Many are losing their zeal for life, why? Because they are not spiritually-minded. When you are not spiritually-minded you enter into survival mode, and that is being carnally minded. When you’re not living by the revelation knowledge of the word of God, you are carnally minded. To truly be great you have to be spiritually minded.

Lodged in the human soul is a creative capacity, and this capacity tend to be distorted in a time of crisis. That which God breathed into man is creative and is of a divine origin. However, when the storm comes in life, the soul is buffeted and the mind is buffeted. While it is true you cannot stop storms from coming your way but you can choose to react in a different way. You can stop the storm from deforming you if you have Jesus in your mind.

Even if Jesus is in your boat, you still need to focus your gaze on Him. Jesus did not say that storms will not come your way, He only said that we should be of good cheer that He has overcome the world.  Job 14:1. “Mortals, born of woman, are of few days and full of trouble. Genesis 47:9. And Jacob said to Pharaoh, “The years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty. My years have been few and difficult, and they do not equal the years of the pilgrimage of my fathers.”

Romans 8:5–11, For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if any man has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also bring to life your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.

Being born again does not automatically bring peace into your life. We need the great creative power of a renewed mind to enjoy God’s promises. You can forge a successful future in the days ahead if you can constantly renew your mind. It is only a renewed mind that can experience the creative capability of God. This is a season where things are bad. You need to learn how to tap into the supernatural to thrive. You have to go beyond speaking in tongues but ensure you do more to be spiritually minded.

A sickness free life

There is a revelation in Romans 8:11 that God used to liberate me from the grip of sickness. The drug that was given to me during the time of my sickness has the tendency to go to the wrong places, leaving the places with problems, and it will go on to the places without problems.

Look unto Jesus

There is always the tendency for us to get distracted in life. Our eyes will go off course when we are distracted and we lose focus. The Christian life is a walk with Jesus as our focus but the cares of this life and deceitfulness of riches makes us take our eyes off Jesus. We
