Do Not Speak Idle Words

Idle words have a way of creating demonic atmospheres around us. When you stop speaking idle words, the words of your mouth becomes more effective.

Matthew 12:36, “But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” This Scripture is referring to every word that you speak. This is because your words carry power. They are able to bring things into your life that can determine your destiny. How were you saved? It was by the words of your mouth. If we speak idle words, we could get evil things into our lives.

What are idle words? They are words which are thoughtlessly spoken. Words that do not express our real thoughts and intentions. When you are challenged you would say that you do not mean it. The angels and demons would take you up on it. In the realm of the spirit, words are words. We may call it idle or powerful, but in the realm of the spirit, they are taken up. Idle words of sickness, poverty, death can open up persons for the activity of demons. As it can happen positively, so can it also happen negatively.

Idle words have a way of creating demonic atmospheres around us. When you stop speaking idle words, the words of your mouth becomes more effective. Your decision to make Jesus the Lord of your life is the final victory that can bring you out of any demonic operation. What can you use to fill up a house from which the devil has just been cast out? None other than Jesus Christ! Too many people give their lives to Christ, but not many make Him the Lord of their lives.

It is one thing to give your life to Christ; it is another thing for Jesus to be the Lord of your life. A Lord is the Master, His Word is the rule. Whatever He says to do is what you do. Wherever He commands you to go is where you go. When you relate to Jesus like that, then demons cannot find their way back into your life. You will never have full deliverance until you make Jesus the Lord and Master of your life.

Galatians 4:19,says “My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you.” Until Christ be formed in you means that until Christ has come to be resident in your heart. If He is not the One who rules and reigns in your life, then your house is empty. It may be swept, it may be garnished; but it is empty and then the devil can now be going in and out. You should pray that Christ fills your heart and give the devil no space.

A sickness free life

There is a revelation in Romans 8:11 that God used to liberate me from the grip of sickness. The drug that was given to me during the time of my sickness has the tendency to go to the wrong places, leaving the places with problems, and it will go on to the places without problems.

Look unto Jesus

There is always the tendency for us to get distracted in life. Our eyes will go off course when we are distracted and we lose focus. The Christian life is a walk with Jesus as our focus but the cares of this life and deceitfulness of riches makes us take our eyes off Jesus. We
