Don’t Cast Away Your Confidence

It is very true that problems come to every one of us. Either you are young or old; great or small, no one is exempt. There will always come a time in life when you will lose hope and give up on your plans and aspirations. This means that doubt has set in. However, for you to be victorious in life, you need to look beyond yourself and begin to put your faith and confidence in God. If you are not properly grounded in your faith, you would become desperate and desperate people can do just about anything to get what they want.

Faith is a call on your soul. Except you walk in faith and confidence in God, you will submit to doubt, and thereafter to fear. Your trust in God will build your confidence in Him. The Christian life is a walk and it is important that your knowledge of God increases as you relate with Him. No matter what you may be going through right now, it is not over yet. Be grateful to God that you are still alive and as long as you have life, your situation can change for good. This is the confidence and hope that would sustain you in your trying times.

Ecclesiastes 9:4, “For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.” Mark 10:27, “And Jesus looking upon them saith, with men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.” To have confidence in God is to believe in His abilities, to have faith in His person and to trust in your relationship with Him. Your confidence in God must be fearless, unshakeable, constant and consistent and you can build these qualities of confidence as you study the Word of God.

Faith is having an unshakeable confidence in God. It is believing God absolutely and completely. There is nothing faith in God cannot conquer. There is nothing faith in God cannot help you to accomplish. Hebrews 10:35-36, “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” Faith in God requires patience to make it work. Faith requires confidence in the word and promises of God.

Not everybody who wants answer actually gets one, because they lose their faith along the way. Faith in God is a fight. It is called the good fight of faith that makes you a winner. The year may be gradually coming to an end, and it seems your desires and prayers are not coming forth, trust God still. It is not over until it is over; and it can never be over with God because He is a promise-keeping God. God has a track record and you ought to build a fearless and unshakeable confidence in Him because He will come through for you too.

WHY AND WHEN DOES DOUBT COME TO US?

  1. When you compare yourself with other people, 2 Cor 10:12.
  2. When your expectations are not met on time, Pro 13:12.
  3. When the size and nature of your predicament in life is threatening.
  4. Past experiences of oneself or other people.
  5. Lack of understanding of the way of God, Isa 55:8.
  6. When people lack the understanding of the time of God, Eccl 3:1.

James 1:6-8, “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” The devil uses doubt to steal, kill and destroy. We all have the tendency to doubt, but what matters most is how we deal with our doubt. Doubting God can be very expensive. Troubles will come, but do not let anything affect your confidence in God.

A sickness free life

There is a revelation in Romans 8:11 that God used to liberate me from the grip of sickness. The drug that was given to me during the time of my sickness has the tendency to go to the wrong places, leaving the places with problems, and it will go on to the places without problems.
