Last year, I got an all-expense-paid trip for a diabetes conference in Spain. While coming back to Ibadan after the visa interview, we divinely escaped a motor case at a pothole spot on the express. My mom, who was preparing for her seventieth birthday, was suddenly told by her doctor that her heart was beating at half the normal rate. She was asked to go for a surgery to help her heart beat normally again. She had the surgery. It was fine, and she was discharged the second day. On her way back to Nigeria, one of the aircraft’s engines went off. Graciously, they were rescued from air mishap. My brother who took her to the airport was shot on his way back by armed robbers, but averted the bullets by God’s intervention. Praise the Lord!
