Look Up To Jesus

When they say there is nothing that can be done about the situation, that is the time for God to step into the scene.

There is nothing happening today that Jesus had not foretold. All that is happening in frightening proportions in the world today was predicted in Matthew 24 and Luke 21. Jesus said when these things begin to come to pass, you should look up.

Sometime ago, the Nigerian government wanted to employ some people and a quota went to those living with HIV. A lot of desperate job seekers actually went all out to get papers certifying them to be HIV positive. When they were tested, it was discovered that they were not HIV positive.

“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws nigh.” LUKE 21:28

Unfortunately, even Christians can be that desperate if they have not learnt to live and look up to God by faith. That is why people steal. I have heard of a Christian who committed suicide because of a disease. The truth of the matter is that if you cannot live by faith, you will live by fear.

I know what it means to pray and wait on God. I was serving God, yet my needs were not met. Everything that I have came to me through faith in God. Look up to God when you see trouble around you. It is not the time to look left, right or centre. Rather, it is the time to look up to God.

When they say there is nothing that can be done about the situation, that is the time for God to step into the scene. When it gets so bad and everyone has given up on you, that is the time to look up and be comforted by the words of Jesus. Live your life depending on God as your source.

Some people live as if their job is their source and that is why they don’t have time for church services. It is not right. If you look up, you will catch God’s attention. There are different ways of looking. You could be looking at someone, but it is only when your eyes lock that you get the person’s attention.

The eyes of the Lord run to and fro the whole earth looking for those whose hearts are perfect towards Him that He might show Himself strong on their behalf. God is looking for something. He is looking for those who continually look up to Him through faith so that He can bless and change their situation.

Our world, greatly marred by sin, is a crucible of trials and tribulations that test the limits of fallen mankind. A sickness free life

There is a revelation in Romans 8:11 that God used to liberate me from the grip of sickness. The drug that was given to me during the time of my sickness has the tendency to go to the wrong places, leaving the places with problems, and it will go on to the places without problems.

There is always the tendency for us to get distracted in life. Our eyes will go off course when we are distracted and we lose focus. The Christian life is a walk with Jesus as our focus but the cares of this life and deceitfulness of riches makes us take our eyes off Jesus. We
