Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly] (AMP)
Prayer is the intercourse of the human soul with God. It is the believers’ breath; it is likened to oxygen without which no man can live. It orders steps and provides solution to the man on the street as much as the king on the throne. Through prayers we silent lions, overcome temptations, perfect testimonies, avert evils and are assured of answers.
Moses prayed and the red sea was parted; Hannah prayed she had a son; David prayed and recovered all. Through prayers Jabez had a turnaround in destiny, Hezekiah had fifteen more years added to him; and Daniel revealed and interpreted the king’s dream. Jesus prayed and was able to pay the price on the cross. Prayer is good for the human soul.
Our annual prayer festival tagged November Prayer Marathon is here again. Every day through the month saints will be praying individually for a minimum of an hour at the prayer tower of the church lifting up voices to God to ask, seek, and knock, for our nation Nigeria, the government, the church of Christ, our friends, relatives, neighbours and ourselves.
Therefore, I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24
