THE NATIONAL WORKERS’ CONGRESS DAY 1
The entire workers force of the church in Nigeria converged at the church’s head quarters for a wonderful time in God’s presence. We had an opening fervent prayer session conducted by Pastor (Pharm.) Yinka Adeyemi. People prayed pouring out their hearts and committing the event to God. The workers were led by Bro. Gbade in a wonderful, soul lifting and dancing galour praise and worship session. People sang, danced and wholly offered their hearts in praise to God.
The senior pastor gave an opening speech. He started by giving us a brief talk into his calling and the whole essence of hosting this event. Pastor James Adeyemi, the pastor of the Bodija branch of the church served us the word which brought the service to a close.
THE NATIONAL WORKERS’ CONGRESS DAY 2
While Day 1 was a tip of the ice berg; Day 2, the grand finale of the event was an icing on the cake. With three sessions in a role, the workers of the church were taught, fed and blessed by the word and a prayer from the set man of the ministry.
We had an hour marathon prayer session where the people lifted their voice to God after which we offered joyful praise and worship to the Almighty. The senior pastor came on stage and offered the first dish in the three course meal prepared for the day. How best would you describe a breakfast, lunch, dinner and a take-home pack of the word? It is better experienced than told. The second and third meal on the menu list of the word for the day was sufficiently dished out by the senior pastor and the Abuja pastor. While the senior pastor spoke on the Vision, the Pattern, the Mission and the Purpose of the ministry; Pastor Kola Falayajo (Abuja pastor) taught us about promotion, its process and the biblical principles.
“Man shall not live by bread alone…” so says the scriptures, believe me the church did not cater for our spiritual nourishment alone but also offered a tea break after the morning session and the often awaited item 7 to bring the afternoon session to a close. The event offered us the opportunity to relate with old acquaintances and long seen members in other branches in other locations of the country.
The national workers congress is a good start and awakens the desire to see more of t in the future.
