Much More

  • Pastor (Dr) Sola Akande
Date preached 1st October 2017

As we begin to go through the last three months of the Year 2017, God assures us that He is able to do much more. God is not done with us yet. He has much more that He plans to do in our lives. Whatever it is you want from God, He has much more than you can ask or imagine.

Things may look difficult in Nigeria, but God is not done with Nigeria. He has much more in store for this nation. Some people think that Nigeria would be destroyed just the way Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed, but that is not correct.

We must remember that Sodom and Gomorrah were not destroyed because of sin; they were destroyed because righteous men were in short supply. God said to Abraham, in their final discussion, that if He can find 10 righteous men He would not destroy the two cities.

Nigeria cannot be destroyed because there are many righteous people in it. God still has much more for this nation. This nation has gone through many highs and lows, but she is still standing. We are sure that all things will work together for the good of this nation.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20).
‘Exceeding abundantly’ in Ephesians 3:20 means a supply that runs till infinity. It means a full measure above what you can imagine.

Points from Ephesians 3:20

God has ability. Ex 3:19, 6:1
God is willing to do. Matt 8:1-2
God has an attitude to do. Acts 10:38

There is an inherent ability in the word of God to begin to do for you what you desire from God.
When God promises, He delivers. God promised to supply your needs not according to your own ability but it is according to his own ability.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). ‘I AM’ is not an English word, it is a name for the omnipotent supernatural ability of God

Conclusion:
What determines the request you put before God is the revelation of God that you have, and the answer to your request comes as a result of the faith you have. God owns the cattle on a thousand hills and if you can see God in that light, it would influence the request that you place before Him. However, the key to the supernatural is your ability to speak in the Holy Ghost. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries (1 Corinthians 14:2). The more you speak in tongues, the more you have ability to receive revelations from God, and the more revelation you have from God, the more faith you’ll have to receive from God’s abundant supply.

Quote:
Speaking in tongues is a window to the supernatural.
No matter what you have experienced in life, God still has a much more for you.
