Luke 22:3, “Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.” A single action of yours can open the door to demons. This man named Judas was an avaricious person. He loved money and would do anything for money. Before this particular account in Luke 22, he had been stealing. He was the treasurer of the apostolic band and he has been stealing from the bag.
On this occasion, Judas did not steal, but he planned to betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. In order to accomplish that, a demon entered into him and that demon now made him to betray Jesus. Stealing made him open to demons. Some people steal from God by not paying their tithe. Some steal from their parents and their friends or their boss. Such actions only open such people up to demons. The demon in them does not allow them to think about the consequences of their action. They would have done it and then regret it later.
Our actions can invite demons into our lives. When you watch a dirty movie, it definitely exposes you to demons and most of the time you do not realize this immediately. You think that you have seen quite a number of such movies and nothing has happened to you. The fact that you did not notice anything happening to you as yet does not mean nothing happened. If a demon has come into your life as a result of watching those movies, you must repent and confess before the demon can be driven out.
The reason that some deliverance done for a Christian may not last for long is because confession has not been done. The New Testament Christian does not fully understand what repentance means. It means you are sorry for your actions and have forsaken your old ways, and if you don’t do that the demon will continue to operate in your life. One thing you will notice is that you cannot stop it because the demon has taken over. Your desires, cravings and actions are means through which the devil manifests in the life of a believer and we must beware.
