The Hands Of Jesus

The hands of Jesus are healing hands! The hands of Jesus are delivering hands!  The hands of Jesus are blessing hands! According to the testimonies of the Holy Scripture, we have it that His hands always brought a change: something good happens! In the New Testament, it is called the hands of Jesus. But in the Old Testament, we had it as the Hand of the Lord. The use of the hand is metaphorical, that is, it represents the Hand of the Lord. God has hands which manifest as the Holy Spirit and the Anointing. The ministry of Jesus was healing. He accomplished seventy per cent of His ministry praying for the sick and delivering the captives, because man’s major malady is sickness. People fall sick every day and spend fortune seeking healing.

Though a lot is done by governments and individuals world over to provide treatment centers, little is achieved. The reason had been that man’s misery is sin. And sin is the mother of sickness. As long man is in this body, he will have to grapple with sicknesses and diseases. God’s attitude to sickness is revealed in one of His covenant names—Jehovah Rapha-“The Lord that healeth us!” He covenanted to heal us.

Exo 15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

This is the Jehovah that saves and delivers from sickness and disease. He is eternally committed to bring healing to you. He wants you whole: spirit, soul and body. Hallelujah! He wants that growth disappeared, ailing organ restored, bacteria and virus dead and aches removed. This is His will for you. Don’t ever doubt this. Don’t for any reason think anything else other than God’s willingness to bring wellness to that condition. Don’t ever consider that sickness or disease as an act of God or a punitive measure against you. In the ministry of Jesus, His hands are symbolic in the workings of the Holy Spirit.

I experienced divine healing in my early Christian walk with God. And since then, I have been convinced beyond any iota of doubt that God is committed to make me well. To maintain this, He called Himself a Covenant-Keeping-God! This covenant is sealed with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. He has a commitment to be our healer and family doctor. This commitment is not bound by time. If you don’t consult God first, it will reduce the efficacy of what He can possibly do for you in the circumstance. It is a wrong order to consult a doctor first, and then consult God when the doctor says sorry there is nothing we can do. I am not saying you should not consult a doctor, but when the devil hits, do the first thing by calling on Doctor Jesus. Surely there is healing for you according to Isaiah 53:1-5,

1 Who hath believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

There are three parts to the hand: the finger, the arm and the hand. These three make up the hands of Jesus. Today, the hand of the Lord is active in His works. When His hand is revealed there is a manifestation. In 1 Kings 18:46, the hand of the Lord was upon Elijah. He outran the king’s chariot because of His hand upon him. In 2 Kings 3:15, the hand of the Lord came on Elisha as a minstrel played his instrument. He gave man dominion over the works (creation) of His hand, Psalm 8:6. In Psalm 78:72, we have come to know that God’s hand guides and shows direction. These same hands is upon us today to do his work in our lives; to bring healing to our bodies, deliverance to those in captivity, help to the helpless, salvation to the sick and redemption from forces in which we have no chance of escape of our own.

2 Cor 6:2  (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Today is the day to believe God for your salvation. Many are in different situation; some are really very tough, others shameful, that you cannot share them with other people. God knows about them and ask me to tell you that even in your situation, His hand is upon you to deliver you, set you free and lose you from the grip of wickedness. Friends, we are struggling with forces, many of which we can hardly understand. We are struggling with situations, many of which we hardly know exist. This been the reason why you struggle in your dreams and business. These forces have the tendency to frustrate you, abort dreams and smash destinies unless a greater force comes over them.

Isa 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

Sometimes, you consider the enemy to be the flood. No, the spirit of the Lord is the flood! He said I should proclaim to you that whatever the rage, scheme and manipulation of the devil is the Spirit of the Lord shall raise up a standard against him like a flood in Jesus name. Amen.

What Does The Hands of Jesus Do?

1.   It does the will of God.

Prosperity is His will. The will of God is to make you prosperous. 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. Also, healing and divine health is His will. When His hands touch you, you will be healed. Mark 5:23, Luke 7:14-15, Matt 8:15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.

2.   It shows compassion.

Whatever His hands touch shows love. His compassion is like the yearning of a mother for her child. Matt 14:13-14, 2 Cor 1:3, Mar 1:40-42 And a leper came to Him, begging Him and kneeling down to Him, and saying to Him, If You will, You can make me clean. Mar 1:41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put out His hand and touched him, and said to him, I will; be clean! Mar 1:42 And He having spoken, the leprosy instantly departed from him and he was cleansed.

3.   It meets needs.

When His hands are open us, they will meet the needs in our lives. Psalm 145:16 You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

4.   It fights the enemy.

All who fight against you are God’s enemies and will be located by Him for destruction in Jesus. Amen.  Heb 10:31, Psalm 21:8 Your hand shall find out all Your enemies; Your right hand shall find out those who hate You.

5.   It saves.

His mighty hands can deliver and rescue us in our time of needs. It pleased Jesus to bear the pains that we should have borne. James 5:15 Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear.

6.   It blesses people.

It is the blessing of the Lord that opens doors of favour and opportunities. The blessing of the Lord attracts other blessings. Pro 10:22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. Mar 10:16  And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

7.   It creates.

God’s hands are creative. When those mighty hands come upon you you can begin to do what nobody else has done, or you do them in a different way. Isa 48:13 Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.

Job 14:7-9,

7 For there is hope of a tree, if it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and its tender branch will not cease. 8 Though its root becomes old in the earth, and its stump dies in the dust,  9 yet at the scent of water it will bud and bring forth branches like a plant.

Naturally, water has no smell, but the water of God has one. The water is the word of God. The scent of the water is the anointing of the Holy Spirit which makes the difference. And that anointing is the hand of the Lord. When the water and the scent of the water that makes a dead tree sprout again to produce branches come upon you, what was supposed to be dead and decomposed comes alive again. Where there is no way, there He can make a way. Where there is no help, with the scent of water, there can be a change. With the scent of the water, your life is changed. This scent can brood upon you and your family. It can find out your enemies and deal with them. It can drive back the forces of darkness and expel does standing against you. It can cause their hands to be weakened and overcome them. It can raise up overwhelming flood upon your foes. It can raise up a standard higher than them so that their hands can no longer perform their enterprise.

Declaration

I prophesy and declare that God’s mighty hand is upon you now, to deliver you, open your eyes, open doors for you, enlighten your minds and give you fresh awareness in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.

A sickness free life

There is a revelation in Romans 8:11 that God used to liberate me from the grip of sickness. The drug that was given to me during the time of my sickness has the tendency to go to the wrong places, leaving the places with problems, and it will go on to the places without problems.

There is always the tendency for us to get distracted in life. Our eyes will go off course when we are distracted and we lose focus. The Christian life is a walk with Jesus as our focus but the cares of this life and deceitfulness of riches makes us take our eyes off Jesus. We
