The Life Giver

he knowledge of God is a revelation; it is an eye opener and a heart experience. If you have Christ, you can know God for yourself.

Jesus Christ came to give us new life, and that is Zoe – the life and the nature of God. This is life that is superior in quality and super abundant in quantity. When you have Jesus, you’ve got a superior life on your inside. This life is freely given to all and available for us.

To have life means to know God for yourself. The knowledge of God is a revelation; it is an eye opener and a heart experience. If you have Christ, you can know God for yourself. Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was born of a virgin and came into this world for one purpose only, and that was to pay man’s sin debt as He died on the cruel cross of Calvary.

Farmers know that a seed will not produce fruit if it is not put under the soil. The seed therefore is no good at all as far as producing fruit, the seed therefore must give its life to bear fruit. If it lies on the ground and never germinates, it remains a seed and never becomes the plant it was intended to become.

I must die to those plans that are not a part of His plan for me. I must die to the desire to control my life. I must die to pride, to stubbornness, to selfishness, to worldliness and to secret sins if I am to be fruitful under God. Afterwards, what we will discover is that when we die to those vices, we come alive for the first time.

Then we can say with the apostle Paul who bore testimony to what we are considering in Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

When a seed lies in the ground and comes into contact with moisture, it changes its appearance and form, but as it dies, a green shoot of life begins to emerge from it. The seed is now transformed. Actually, death has transformed it. It dies to what it was to become something else – something greater than its former state.

Because of the death of that one seed, a plant will live which produces a great deal of fruit as well as many more seeds. Like the seed, Jesus knew that his death would lead to life for many more people. Think of what would have happened if Jesus did not die? There would be no resurrection, no salvation, no forgiveness and no cleansing from sins.

Jesus Christ gave us His life so we can live and love like Him. Life is to love people. This life presents to us the capacity to love because God comes into you to love through you. To have life means to have light. Light is development, enlightenment and progress. Jesus gives us life so we can succeed and be fulfilled in life.

A sickness free life

There is a revelation in Romans 8:11 that God used to liberate me from the grip of sickness. The drug that was given to me during the time of my sickness has the tendency to go to the wrong places, leaving the places with problems, and it will go on to the places without problems.

There is always the tendency for us to get distracted in life. Our eyes will go off course when we are distracted and we lose focus. The Christian life is a walk with Jesus as our focus but the cares of this life and deceitfulness of riches makes us take our eyes off Jesus. We
