The Name You Can Use

We live in the days of panic and anxiety, but believers must always remember that God has given us a name to face up with the present challenges of our lives.

There are names and there are names, but there is a name that is above all names. That name is the LORD JESUS CHRIST! God has set His seal on the name of Jesus and that is why it works in every realm – spiritual, mental and physical.

It is very important that we have an understanding of the name of Jesus. We live in the days of panic and anxiety, but believers must always remember that God has given us a name to face up with the present challenges of our lives – this is the way to victory in our endeavours.

God has made provision for our redemption and salvation through the name of Jesus. Peter, when he faced the Jerusalem council after healing the lame man said, “Neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

If you do not honour and hallow the name of Jesus, the name will not work for you. The devil has succeeded in making many people to disregard the name of Jesus, but this should begin to change. However, if you begin to respect and regard the name of Jesus, then you will see it work for you.

God has invested so much in the name of Jesus and we are commanded to have faith in the name of Jesus for it to work in our situations. When the name of Jesus takes its proper place in our hearts, then it will produce confidence and there will be manifest result in our lives.

Mostly, there are three ways in which a name achieves greatness: By Conferment; by Inheritance and by Conquest. The name of Jesus is great in these aspects. It was conferred on Him by God; He inherited it from the beginning and He also got it by conquest.

Philippians 2:9-11, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

A sickness free life

There is a revelation in Romans 8:11 that God used to liberate me from the grip of sickness. The drug that was given to me during the time of my sickness has the tendency to go to the wrong places, leaving the places with problems, and it will go on to the places without problems.

Look unto Jesus

There is always the tendency for us to get distracted in life. Our eyes will go off course when we are distracted and we lose focus. The Christian life is a walk with Jesus as our focus but the cares of this life and deceitfulness of riches makes us take our eyes off Jesus. We
