The Perfect Judgment of A Good God

The ultimate vengeance is not that your enemy will die. The God we serve is good and He will judge your enemies. The ultimate vengeance is for you to succeed in the presence of your enemies.

The gospel of Jesus is the gospel of perfect judgment of a good God. God will not allow anybody to cheat you and get away with it. The truth is, nobody likes to be cheated. You can go to God and say, ‘God, avenge my case. You know I’m your child and this is what I want.’ The gospel of Jesus Christ, therefore, is a gospel that avenges for everything that God has fully promised us. However you must begin to think that He is a good God as you put Him in charge of your life. He is the one that controls everything and you should not do things that are not His will.

There was an incident that happened in one of our churches. Some people came, and said they wanted to start another church inside our property. About twenty persons came inside the church in the middle of the night and they began to chant. While our own service was going on, they were having their own service also. After the pastor tried to talk them out of it, and they refused, the pastor said they just went in and began to pray in tongues. Afterwards, the pastor and his people got together and began to pray in tongues at a particular hour for a week. At the end of that one week the intruders stopped coming. The thing is you have to use spiritual to meet spiritual, don’t use physical to meet spiritual. Some people think it is just strength that you use to face the devil. No!

Acts 4:29, Then they got to this place in their prayer, “And now Lord, behold their threatenings grant unto thy servants that with all boldness they may speak thy word, 30by stretching forth thine hand to heal; and signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.”

They didn’t pray that the people should die. They didn’t say, ‘these people that are disturbing us, let the Lord wipe them out, let them collapse, fall down and die.’ No, they didn’t say all of those. They said, “God, just give us boldness to keep preaching.’ In verse 34-35, “Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, and laid them down at the apotles’ feet: distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.”

And then they went on and gave some testimonies. Have you heard of such a church, where everybody there has all their needs met? No, it doesn’t exist, except in this text. This was God’s way of silencing the enemy. The more evil they were planning and doing to the church, the more the church was prospering. That is vengeance. The ultimate vengeance is not that your enemy will die. The God we serve is good and He will judge your enemies. The ultimate vengeance is for you to succeed in the presence of your enemies.

A sickness free life

There is a revelation in Romans 8:11 that God used to liberate me from the grip of sickness. The drug that was given to me during the time of my sickness has the tendency to go to the wrong places, leaving the places with problems, and it will go on to the places without problems.

Look unto Jesus

There is always the tendency for us to get distracted in life. Our eyes will go off course when we are distracted and we lose focus. The Christian life is a walk with Jesus as our focus but the cares of this life and deceitfulness of riches makes us take our eyes off Jesus. We
