The Refiner’s Fire: My Yieldedness/Consecration To God – Day 8

your genuine expression of worship or true worship is a life surrendered fully to God while you live in holiness, mortifying the deeds of the flesh.

EXHORTATION

Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

The platform of prayer puts you in God’s workshop, giving God an opportunity to mould you using the ministry of the word and the Holy Spirit as tools to shape you into His image. Every man or woman who has found use in God’s hands were those who allowed God to make them in the privacy of His workshop, also called the secret place of the Most High.

You must be convinced that what prayer accomplishes in your inner self is more than what it does outside of you, the benefits of being in the presence of God is beyond earthly benefits as we could easily observe from the prayer life of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Heb 5:7)

Ex 20:20: Moses said to the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that His fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not

God asked the people to draw near to Him in order for Him to prove them. The word prove is the same word used by the refiner or blacksmith to refine gold in the fire until its purified. Mal 3:3 He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver; and He shall purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness. Then shall the offering of Judah be pleasant unto the Lord…

In other words, until the refiner works on Judah, their offerings would not be pleasant unto the Lord.

There are many areas in our lives that God proves or touches with His fire to melt it and we will touch on each one for the next few days; asking the Lord to refine us, to cleanse us so that our lives truly reflect His image. Five areas we will ask the Lord to touch and to pass through the refiner’s fire are Our personal desires; Our self-pride; Our motives; Secret sins; Our yieldedness/consecration. We have already touched on the first four on the list.

Today, you will ask the Lord to put His hand upon your yieldedness and commitment to Him. You will ask Him to sit upon you as the refiner and take full ownership of your life. You will confess to Him that your life is no longer yours but His alone. You will present your body as a living sacrifice and you become the sacrifice.

God longs for true or sincere worshippers whose worship is from the heart rather than a public show. Romans 12 shows how you can give God true worship; your genuine expression of worship or true worship is a life surrendered fully to God while you live in holiness, mortifying the deeds of the flesh. Your response as a believer to the mercies of God upon your life is that you are moved to worship Him by living a life of total surrender to God and living in holiness. Such a sacrifice is what God longs for, God desires a heart that is completely His and that’s what Jesus refers to as true worship.

Rom 12:1: Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies, I encourage you to surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship. TPT

PRAYER: THE REFINERS FIRE: LORD, SIT UPON MY LIFE AND TAKE OWNERSHIP/PERSONAL CONSECRATION

Make the prayer below in your understanding and then proceed to pray in the Holy Ghost:

My dear heavenly father
I am in awe of the mercies You have bestowed upon me
You are full of mercy and You continually show me mercy

In view of the abundance of Your mercy upon my life
I present to You my body as a living sacrifice,
I present a holy body that is acceptable to You as my act of worship

I surrender my life unto You
I surrender my members as instruments of righteousness unto You alone
I surrender my eyes, tongues, hands and feet as instruments of righteousness to God

I will not use my members as instruments to sin
I willingly choose to live a holy life as I deliberately choose not to yield my members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin

I choose to live a life of sexual purity, honesty, love and total submission to the word of God
I surrender every idol in my life and every selfish ambition
I lift my hands and my life in absolute surrender

Father, I surrender to Your will and to Your way
You are my King and I will forever bow to You
You are Lord over my life and I surrender to you alone

I surrender to You every bitterness, resentment, guilt, shame, condemnation and defeat in my life
I choose to walk in love as an act of worship and submission to Your will
As I bow my heart in worship unto You

Lord, sit upon my life as the refiner and take full ownership of my soul

As I continue to pray in the understanding and in other tongues,
I surrender to the Holy Spirit to give me utterance and speak through me so that my sacrifice will be acceptable unto the Lord

VERSE OF THE DAY: ROM 12: 1 (AMP) I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies[presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.

A sickness free life

There is a revelation in Romans 8:11 that God used to liberate me from the grip of sickness. The drug that was given to me during the time of my sickness has the tendency to go to the wrong places, leaving the places with problems, and it will go on to the places without problems.

There is always the tendency for us to get distracted in life. Our eyes will go off course when we are distracted and we lose focus. The Christian life is a walk with Jesus as our focus but the cares of this life and deceitfulness of riches makes us take our eyes off Jesus. We
