For one who has failed before, how do you get up and have courage to try again? How do you rise from the ashes of failure to the fire of success? How do you rise from sickness to health? When you wake up in the morning, this is what you should say, “This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Make positive statements because of the uncertainties of life. Today, many have lost enthusiasm for life and instead of changing their prayer life, people just take their minds away from what could make the difference for them. What is needful at critical times is a change of lifestyle. When no one or nothing else could help, then it is time to look up to God for help.

Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee. Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart. If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles. Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks. Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver. For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God. Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows. (Job 22:22-27)
When you are intimate with God, even though men would be cast down, you would not. The economy could be bad, but you would be lifted up. Acquaint yourself with God, get close to Him and cultivate intimacy with Him. When you do that, God would reward you. Don’t just be a church attendee, be intimate with God. Develop a relationship with Him.
He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. (Psalm 91:1-2) you can only dwell in the secret place of God if you have intimacy with Him. God would never deny any good thing from them that walk uprightly with Him.

If a man die, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. (Job 14:14) A living dog is better than a dead lion and no matter what happens to you, never give up on God because he would not give up on you.
