Facing Your Future

Mephibosheth was handicapped and he crawled around. However, by the time God started with him, grace located him and he was brought to the palace. In spite of his lame condition, he made it to the king’s table.

The Bible is a compendium of people who met God, or whom God met, and made them survive in spite of their limitations, weaknesses, mistakes and human frailties. These people who met God were able to fulfill His purpose for their lives in spite of their past.

Whatever happened in your past, happened in the past and there is nothing you can do to change it. However, you can do something about the future. Face it without the fear of the past in order to fulfill the purpose of God for your life.

Symbolically, Lodebar is a land of forgetfulness; a place where people are forgotten. He grew up without any family around him. Think about the turmoil and confusion Mephibosheth may have experienced. As a child, he could not run around and play with his mates.

Mephibosheth was handicapped and he crawled around. However, by the time God started with him, somebody carried him to the palace that could have been his own. Something extraordinary happened to Mephibosheth. Something extraordinary is going to happen to you too.

Mephibosheth ended up receiving the grace of God made available by covenant, which his father Jonathan, had made with David. Grace located him and he was brought to the palace. In spite of his lame condition, he made it to the king’s table.

It is God who promotes and the lameness of Mephibosheth did not determine his destiny. Many things may have made you lame. It could be lack of education, lack of money, but whatever it is, you must understand that you can face your future in spite of your past. Nothing would stop your promotion because you have a covenant with Jesus!

A sickness free life

There is a revelation in Romans 8:11 that God used to liberate me from the grip of sickness. The drug that was given to me during the time of my sickness has the tendency to go to the wrong places, leaving the places with problems, and it will go on to the places without problems.
