Every week, we meet together to worship God. Singing is how we honor God. Prayer is how we communicate with God. God speaks to us through Bible study. By reacting to God’s presence, we take pleasure in Him. We invite you to join us whether you are a fervent disciple of Jesus or a new convert to Christianity.
Our Story
We’ve been gathering together for over 25 years.
It all started on April 23rd, 1993 at the Omega Conference Centre, Favos building, New Bodija, in Ibadan, Oyo State. We’ve expanded to more than 5,000 people in forty-one (41) locations across 4 continents. The Stone Church, registered as an arm of the Word Alive Ministries International.
The inaugural service was held on Saturday, April 23rd 1993, at the Omega Conference Centre, Favos Building, New Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State. Sunday services commenced at the same venue on April 24th 1993 at 8 a.m. The Headquarters of the Church has since moved to its permanent site at Mokola, and has continued to establish branches all over the country and overseas.
Our Mission Statement
We bring people into MEMBERSHIP in God’s Family, and help them to MATURITY in Christ likeness. We equip them for MINISTRY, send them out on MISSIONS to the world, in order to MAGNIFY God’s name.

The Stone symbolized in this vision gives a revelation of the kingdom of the Great King Jesus which outlasts every other kingdom.
Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay and brake them to pieces. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

What doctrines do you promote?
Doctrines and good works don’t save, Jesus saves.
You don’t need to hold all of our views to attend our church or to be loved by God. But, we do have beliefs and convictions that we care about and believe in. We will preach, teach, and lead from these. As long as you are okay with that, then so are we.
What are your beliefs on marriage?
We hold that God has established marriage as a lifelong bond between a single man and a single woman. Therefore, we only accept marriages between biological women and men. Therefore, Resurrection Church exclusively performs weddings and solemnizes unions between a single man and a single woman.
We are aware that our friends, family, and neighbours might belong to the LGBTQ+ community. We think they should receive the same amount of love and compassion as everyone else since they are just as valuable, deserving, and worthy. Nonetheless, we think that both gender and marriage are aspects of the human calling to live as God intended.
What do you believe about the bible?
We consider the Bible to be the inspired word of God. God is speaking to us as we read and preach the Bible. We hold that the Bible is infallible (it doesn’t lie to us), inspired (God wrote it using human beings), and inerrant (it doesn’t have any large “E” errors). We consider the Bible to be our prism through which we see culture, not the other way around.
Where do you stand on gender?
We hold that people are “embodied souls,” created by God. This implies that you are more than simply your physical form and that your identity is closely linked to your physical form. According to the Bible, male and female are the two unique biological sexes that God created from the beginning. This was “very good,” he said. Scripture forbids a distinction between gender identity and biological sex. Any attempt to misinterpret the distinction between biological sex/gender identity and/or male/female is an attempt to self-create, which is sin, and a rejection of God’s ordered order. We also recognize that individuals with an indiscriminate biological sex are not always born. Yet, these cases do not involve an attempt to self-create nor deny the dignity of how they were born (Gen. 1:26-27; Matt. 19:4; Mark 10:6-7; Psalm 139:14)
