Simply giving your life to Christ is a wonderful beginning, but true spiritual growth requires dealing with the deep roots of iniquity. Iniquity is the hidden inclination that drives unrighteous behavior, often tied to generational habits or old patterns of life. Human willpower, alcohol, or secular self-help programs cannot permanently uproot these tendencies. They can only be cleansed by moving close to God.
Truth is not merely abstract information or correct doctrine; Truth is a living Person whose name is Jesus. As you acquaint yourself with God through His word and fellowship, His truth acts as a spiritual surgical tool, cutting away the wedges that separate you from holiness. Psalm 15 asks who may dwell in God’s holy tabernacle, answering that it is the one who walks uprightly, speaks truth from the heart, and remains true to his commitments even when it hurts.
Compulsive habits such as dishonesty, exaggeration, or hidden compromise gradually destroy families and personal destinies from within. True deliverance comes when you invite the Holy Spirit to search your heart and cleanse your character. By maintaining daily fellowship with God, the root of iniquity is shattered, empowering you to live a life that honors and pleases Him.
