Jacob was fleeing from his elder twin brother Esau, whom he had tricked out of receiving their father Isaac’s blessing of the first-born. Somewhere along his journey, Genesis 28:11-17 records that he alighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night. In the middle of the night, he had an encounter with God that changed the trajectory of his life – it was a destiny moment for Jacob.
In every person’s life there will be moments that could be described as destiny moments. What is a destiny moment? A destiny moment is a critical turning point. It is a moment in time where everything changes. A point in time when nothing after will ever be the same as before.
