POEMS FOR OUR GREAT FATHERS

GOD TOOK THE STRENGTH OF A MOUNTAIN

THE MAJESTY OF A TREE

THE WARMTH OF THE SUMMER SUN

THE CALM OF A QUIET SEA

THE GENEROUS SOUL OF NATURE

THE COMFORTING ARM OF NIGHT

THE WISDOM OF AGES

THE POWER OF THE EAGLE’S FLIGHT

THE JOY OF A MORNING IN SPRING

THE FAITH OF A MUSTARD SEED

THE PATIENCE OF ETERNITY

THE DEPTH OF A FAMILY NEED

THEN GOD COMBINED THESE QUALITIES

WHEN THERE WAS NOTHING MORE TO ADD

HE KNEW HIS MASTERPIECE WAS COMPLETE

SO HE CALLS IT…… “A FATHER”

FATHERS ARE WONDERFUL, TOO LITTLE TO UNDERSTAND

AND WE DO NOT SING THEIR PRAISE AS OFTEN AS WE SHOULD

BUT ON A DAY LIKE THIS WE REMEMBER FATHERS, SO BRAVE AND BOLD

HE WOULD GIVE ADVICE AND UNDERSTANDING, HE WAS ALWAYS THERE TO LEND A HAND

GOD MADE FATHERS STRONG AND FIRM, FOR HE KNEW OUR LIFE WOULD HAVE GREAT CONCERN

NOTHING COMPARES TO A FATHER WHO MAKES GOD HIS MENTOR

FOR IN HIM HE GETS WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING

SO ON, THIS DAY, LET’S TAKE THIS TIME TO SAY “THANKS DAD, I’M GLAD YOU’RE HERE”

POETIC DEDICATION TO OUR WONDERFUL DADS FROM THE JUNIOR CHURCH, THE STONE CHURCH.

TWO EYES THAT SEE THE BEST IN ME

TWO STRONG LIPS THAT REEL OUT TEACHINGS

TWO ARMS THAT HOLD ME TIGHT AND DEFEND ME LIKE A SOLDIER

TWO KNEES THAT I CLIMB UPON WHICH MAKES YOU A PRAYER WARRIOR

TWO CHEEKS THAT SMILE AT ME AND MAKE YOU HUMOROUS, KIND AND FRIENDLY

MY STRONG DAD, MY ONE IN A MILLION DADS

A sickness free life

There is a revelation in Romans 8:11 that God used to liberate me from the grip of sickness. The drug that was given to me during the time of my sickness has the tendency to go to the wrong places, leaving the places with problems, and it will go on to the places without problems.

Look unto Jesus

Look unto Jesus

There is always the tendency for us to get distracted in life. Our eyes will go off course when we are distracted and we lose focus. The Christian life is a walk with Jesus as our focus but the cares of this life and deceitfulness of riches makes us take our eyes off Jesus. We
