God is A Maker

The gospel is the power of God unto salvation. Anywhere the gospel is preached, it has the power to make and turn situations around for good. God is able to do for us not only what we ask, but what we imagine.

In every heart there is a vacuum to be filled with the person of the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit comes into your life, He gives you inside information. With the Holy Ghost on your inside, sickness, wretchedness and lack cannot touch you.

Matthew 4:18-20, And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
One thing about God is that once He tells you to follow Him, He intends to make you a disciple. A disciple is a committed person, and anyone who is committed to Christ, Christ would be committed to him. However, discipleship comes with some costs.

What are the costs of discipleship? From Luke 9:23,

Deny self
Take-up your cross daily
Follow His leading

As disciples of Jesus Christ, we would face challenges in life. The Bible does not say ‘if’ you pass through the waters, rather it says ‘when’ you pass through the waters it shall not overwhelm you. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God delivers him out of them all (Ps 34:19).

1 Peter 5:7-10, Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
How do we overcome the devil? From Rev 12:11,

By the blood of the Lamb
By the word of our testimony
By not loving our lives unto death.

Conclusion:
If Peter had seen the coming storm, He would not have stepped out of the boat. The storms and challenges of life coming to you from right, left and centre are only building you up. If God calls you out, He may not show you everything at once but He would show you the way to follow. Certainly, God is always dependable. One good thing about the battles that we fight is that Jesus has overcome the battle and we only fight these battles knowing that we are coming out victorious.

Quote:
-When wills clash, the will of God must prevail
-If somebody walks out of your life, it is because God is preparing a special package for you
